Sledder goes through the ice

A 53-year-old from Echo Bay is dead, after his snowmobile went through ice just before the weekend. The sledder was pulled from the water, and with the transported to hospital with the assistance of a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter and the Sault Ste. Marie Fire Department, but he was pronounced dead. Authorities are reminding everyone to stay off the ice.
