Festival costs going up

The festival is now less than three months away, but the cost of the Stars and Thunder Festival in Timmins are once again on the rise. That’s according to Mayor Steve Black, speaking to council this week. The total projected revenue was listed at $4,180,000. However, in his latest report, the total projected revenue to break even was reposed at $4,300,000. That is, in part due to higher than expected costs for fireworks transportation from China.
