The Nippising Parry Sound District Health Unit has confirmed that water sampling has begun for substances called PFAS from private water wells in the vicinity of the Canadian Forces Base. The sampling started on April 6 and is expected to continue until April 11, 2017. The Health Unit is working in tandem with the City of North Bay, as well as other community partners, to ensure the safety of the public and to keep residents informed of developments.
