Discussions were had and opinions were raised last night at WJ Fricker School in North Bay on School Consolidations. In an effort to save money, various proposals include bringing the four publicly funded North Bay High schools together into two schools. Felisha Fahey is with the Ontario Alliance Against School Closures and says there’s always benefit in fighting back against this type of move.

The school board also is looking to close E.W. Norman, W.J. Fricker and E.T. Carmichael and build a new elementary school on the Fricker site. The final public meeting will take place May 8. The board will vote on the proposal June 27.
