Work began this week in Timmins, on the south side of the Hollinger Park Fred Salvador Field. The location, where the Stars and Thunder event will be taking place next month is receiving Several truckloads of gravel to create a new surface in that section of the field. This makes good on a city council approval to spend $99,000 on a tender to provide gravel cover for that part of the park where the festival stage will be created.
