North Bay has seen a spike in Nuisance Bears. Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry 57 bear reports have come in so far this year, compared to only 19 over the same period last year. This is the second year of an expanded spring bear hunt pilot project in Ontario, operating in a number of communities including Timmins, and Sudbury.
