School Board getting ready for upcoming year (and other local stories)

Renovations are underway ahead of school year

The Northeastern Catholic District School Board says renovations are underway at different schools and playgrounds around the district ahead of the 2017-18 school year. This is on top of a student shift, where kindergarten – grade 4 students in Timmins will be at the former Sacred Heart Elementary School for this year. The first day of school for the region is September 5th.


Motorcycle Driver charged following pursuit

North Bay police have charged a 30-year-old man following a pursuit Saturday afternoon. Detective Constable Erin Pemberton says that it all began when city cops observed a Honda CBR motorcycle in the area of John Street…

Police discontinued the pursuit due to public safety concerns. The operator was located and arrested a shot time later near Thomson Park.


Wanted – Natasha Touluse, 29

A cash reward of $2,000 has been offered by Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers for information leading to the arrest Natasha Toulouse, wanted for assault. Lese Perrault is with Rainbow Sudbury Crime Stoppers and says who is wanted for assault.
Toulouse is described as 5-foot-6 and 141 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
