Dome Mine in Timmins closing down shop

Porcupine Gold Mines announced today that mining operations will permanently cease at the Dome underground mine. According to Marc Lauzier with GPM, the decision isn’t personal, when it comes to the aprox 140 workers effected… it’s just business.

The closure is expected for December 31st, but may close sooner if production cannot last until the end of the year.
