Truck collision closes HWY 11, another truck spews smoke

OPP followed up on a serious collision between two transports on Highway 11 south of Temagami near the Highway 64 Field cut-off around. The two trucks were travelling in opposite directions. The highway was closed for about five hours. The road has since been reopened.
Elsewhere,
A number of drivers found themselves smoked out today…. the area around the bypass between O’Brien Street and Algonquin Avenue. This was all thanks to transport that spewed thick white smoke from the front end before coming to a stop near Algonquin. North Bay firefighters responded to the incident. There were no injuries… and cause of the incident in under investigation.
