29-year-old lead Police in wild chase

A 29-year-old man has been busted for dangerous driving, impaired driving, and fleeing the scene of an accident. KFM News spoke with Katelynn Dunn who says it was dramatic to say the least…

He was held for a bail hearing.
 


Missing Teen, 16-year old, Annika Lapointe


Greater Sudbury Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 16-year old, Annika Lapointe. Annika was last seen two days ago in the downtown core of Greater Sudbury. Lapointe is described as being 5-7, weighing approximately 140 lbs. with long auburn hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing black leggings, a blue and green halter top and she has a nose piercing.


Update: 5 injured, 2 extracted in accident

Five people have been injured including one with life-threatening injuries, following a three-vehicle collision on Trunk Road in Sault Ste. Marie. The crash, that took place yesterday morning happened near a turnoff to Highway 17. Two had to be extricated from a truck. Details as to the cause of the crash are under investigation.


Timmins Police budget slated for 1.78% increase

Timmins Police Service is $15.9 million-dollar budget to city hall for approval. That represents rough 1.78% increase over the 2017 budget. Police say the training budget alone is going to increase to $125,000 for next year, up from $65,000 this year. The hope is that some provincial funding might be coming in from Queen’s Park.


Missing Teen, 47-year old, Erin Marie Stocker


The Sault Ste Marie Police Department is seeking the publics assistance in locating ERIN MARIE STOCKER W/F who is 47 years old. Stocker has not been seen or heard from since 9-28-17. If anyone has seen or knows where Stocker is please contact the Sault Ste Marie Police Department at 906-632-3344 or Central Dispatch at 906-495-3312.
