Weather Statements in effect: Freezing Rain

With the warmer temperatures Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement. While there is no warning, as of yet.. Greater Sudbury, North Bay, Timmins and Sault Ste Marie (along with surrounding areas) area could see freezing rain into the afternoon and evening.
 

Missing Woman- Marilyn Biron, 31

Sault Ste. Marie Police are looking for a missing woman. 31-year-old Marilyn Biron was last seen Jan. 4 around 9:30 a.m. in the area of Great Northern Road and Third Line. She is described as a Metis female with a medium complexion. Biron is about 5’5” tall and about 130 lbs. She has long straight brown hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing blue jeans with a bring pink belt and a black sweater.
 

Numbers are lower, results are better

HSN says they’ve hit their doing more and seeing less when it comes to alternative care. And that’s a good thing. A North Bay area man will has been busted for impaired driving… and now he’ll have 30 days to think about it. This was after an incident where following a breathalyser last summer, it was reveled that the 57-year-old had four times the legal amount of alcohol in his system, as what the law would allow. He was in court this week.
 

Major festival could see lower pricing for kids

Timmins city council will consider an option that could make it much easier for the whole family to head out this Summer, arguably one of the biggest events of the year. Kids Ticket Prices are being considered for the Stars and Thunder festival. Mayor Steve Black told the press, the move would be to ensure the whole family could come out to enjoy.
 

Sudbury Arena… new location for Convention Centre

A site has been chosen for the convention centre, library and art gallery in Greater Sudbury. The Sudbury Arena. The decision came Tuesday evening after councillors received a more detailed explanation why the downtown Rainbow Centre wasn’t suitable.
