Missing: Shailynn Atkins,16   (Update: LOCATED)

There is word of a missing teenager. She is 16-year-old Shailynne Atkins. Shailynne was last seen near Sault Ste. Marie Transit terminal on Dennis Street nearly a week ago. The last sighting was on the 27th of February just before 6:00pm. Atkins was wearing a long grey sweater, dark grey T-shirt and blue jeans. She has a medium build and short blue hair, police say.
 

Quints bill paid

The move for a piece of history in North Bay has been paid for. North Bay City Council has approved a near $29,900 payment move for the Dionne Quints Home move. This completes payment for the move of the Dionne Home to a plot of land between the Discovery North Bay Museum and Marina Point Retirement Village in April of last year.
 

Fatal collision in Greater Sudbury

Little is known about the accident itself, but what has been released is that at least one rider is dead following a Snow Mobile collision in Greater Sudbury. The collision is said to have occurred on Panache lake, over the weekend.
 

Mail carrier charged

A 57-year-old former mail carrier in North Bay is facing charges after gift cards were taken out of the mail. Information received by police indicated that in December 2017, the theft of store gift cards occurred from envelopes while in transit through Canada Post. The woman will be in court later this month.
 

Fire in Edith Street, under investigation

A blaze that started up Saturday in Greater Sudbury has been brought down, but currently… there is no word yet as to total damage done. It began on Edith Street just before 11:00am. Greater Sudbury Fire Services was able to contain the fire before it spread. There were no injuries.
 

Snow depth down 20%

While there is no flood warning, caution is warranted when it comes to water ways. The North Bay Mattawa Conservation Authority says that snow depths are down 20% below the long-term average. The Authority says that on average, depth is down eight cm and water content is down approximately one, since the last survey two weeks ago.
