Missing Sudbury Man: 25-year-old Branden Bodson-Gratton

Authorities in Sudbury are looking for a missing man. They say 25 year old Branden Bodson-Gratton, was last seen Monday on Elm St. in downtown Sudbury. He is described as 5-foot-10 and 155 pounds, with short brown hair and hazel eyes.
 

Witnesses sought following deadly collision

Manitoulin OPP are looking for information, following a deadly collision Tuesday. It happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. in Wikwemikong. A 67-year-old man from the Wiki area was taken to hospital, where he later died. A post-mortem was conducted yesterday.
 

Meeting slated to talk about Casino in North Bay

A special meeting of North Bay city council is slated for Dec. 12. And it’s all over the proposed casino. The city says the full agenda with a report from cities CAO Keith Robicheau will posted to its website later this afternoon. The proposed 37,000+ square-foot Cascades Casino is expected to cost about $31.3 million.
 

“Stuff a crib” campaign is back

Timmins paramedics are encouraging to help “Stuff a Crib” this Christmas season. Tomorrow ambulances and baby cribs will be set up at the entrance of both Walmart and Canadian Tire, and donations of toys that will be placed in the back of the ambulance while items such as diapers, wipes or formula that will be placed in the crib.
 

Unattended cooking blamed for 2 story home

Unattended cooking has been blamed on a fire in Sault Ste. Marie. It happened in the 600 block of Queen St. W. A resident left the home with a pot of oil on a stove. Reports say that A family just moved into the two-story home west of James Street. Thankfully no one was injured.
 

MPP calling for more, for Northern Ontario Hospital

Sudbury’s MPP Jamie West is calling on the Government to fix what he calls a massive underfunding. Specifically, at Health Sciences North. During Question Period this week West spoke up in Queen’s Park saying that the problem has been going on for years and that the hospital has been forced to claw back services due to cuts by previous Liberal and Conservative governments.
