Could snow falls set new records?

Even without today’s snow fall, some new records have already been set for Snow Depth in some locations. Joel Harrison is with The North Bay Mattawa Conservation Authority and says as of February first…

That number is just under 71cm.
Elsewhere, readings in Greater Sudbury Nickel District Conservation Authority says that when it comes to snow depth… a record reading has yet to be taken. Anoop Niak is with the Conservation Authority spoke to us this week, and says that the record to beat was set in the 1990’s.

Another reading will be taken this week.
Snowfall amounts of 25 to 35 centimeters and blowing snow are expected today into tomorrow.
