Two major announcements were made today at Canadore College. The first surrounded a training agreement with World Care Canada that would see 200 Nigeria students come to North Bay to focuses on programs in nursing and respiratory therapy. There is also some thought it could aviation and broadcasting.
In addition, a pharmaceutical plant is expected to being construction in 2020. It will include academic laboratories and classroom flex space for Canadore students. The plant’s first phase represents a $45 million investment and early estimations project that 120 new jobs will be created, of which 90 per cent are expected to be hired locally.
