Mail service is all but back to normal after a one-day stoppage in Timmins. Canada Post had issued a red alert for Timmins, meaning there was delivery for the day, as it is unsafe to do so due to ice conditions. Once delivery resumes, efforts to catch up are often slowed by the conditions.
