The Fabio Belli soccer dome will be constructed later this year. This is after a number of attempts to get the project going. The project expected to cost just North of 6.9mil is in memory of the late city councillor, who died suddenly in April of 2014.
The Province is providing $4 million, Greater Sudbury has been asked to provide $2.2 million for road upgrades and $750,000 for a new field house. It was to have been housed at Lasalle Secondary, with the Rainbow District School Board providing $1.1 million to pay for the artificial turf.
