Accommodation tax coming to Timmins

Those headed to Timmins will soon be paying a new tax. The municipal accommodation tax has been talked about for months, but this week it was approved at four-per-cent. It applies to hotels, motels, cottages and other short-term accommodations.
Details: It doesn’t apply to campsites and campgrounds, or university and college residences.
