Rock your socks for World Down Syndrome Day

Today, the world celebrates World Down Syndrome Day. The global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012, but for some here in Northern Ontario the day is celebrated close to home.

Ella Mae and her mother Melissa

Ella Mae Krause is a little girl with down syndrome, in Powassan with her family. Her mother Melissa spoke to us on the blessings that her little girl brings.

More than that, Melissa along with her husband Marcus say that children like this, can often teach us more about our selves, and about the Lord Jesus.

Residents everywhere are encouraged to dig through the laundry and find two mismatched socks to wear in celebration of the day (seen in the image above).  For more of the World Down Syndrome Awareness Day, click here.
