New bike routes hit a bump

Plans for a series of commuter bicycle routes planned for Sault Ste Marie hit a snag this week at city council. Routes to be implemented into the existing network this summer have received opposition from neighbourhood residents. Some on council say concerns can be addressed, allowing the project to move forward this summer.
One is the Pine Street route, from Queen to Northern Avenue.
The second is the Willow route, from McNabb Street to Northern Avenue.
