The North Bay Police Services Board says ridesharing could be in place by next month. The goal is to have a new bylaw regulating taxis, limousines and ride sharing in place by July 9. Board Chair Denis O’Connor told us that even if there is a push back, its still an option for the city.
The draft of the new bylaw should be completed within the next couple of weeks, board chair Denis O’Connor said. It will then be checked out by a lawyer, will be posted on the board’s website, and two public meetings will be held for public input. O’Connor said he expects it will be approved at a board meeting July 9.
