Sudbury mining company creates World’s biggest Ore Chute

A Sudbury-based mining company is going deeper in the mining sector, with a new chute. More specifically, Variant Mining Technologies says what they’ve built in the biggest ore chute in the world. Built for a mine in Mongolia that combines an underground and an open-pit copper mining, the chute will be used to control the flow of rock from an ore pass to a waiting truck. It works with a conveyor belt or rail car in an underground mine.
