Talks between Nip U and Faculty Association will get conciliation

Nipissing University says they’re looking forward to conciliation with the Nipissing University Faculty Association next month. Both negotiating parties have apparently had to adjust their schedules to make slots work and once the negotiations conclude, the school says they will move into negotiations with the Contract Academic Staff Bargaining Unit.

Nipissing University has requested that the Ministry of Labour appoint a conciliator to help resolve its ongoing talks with the faculty association.
Both parties are required to use the province’s conciliation services if they are still in negotiations, according to the ministry’s website, before they can be in a strike or lock-out position.
