Drivers are asked, as they’ve been asked dozens of times before to be mindful when it comes to school buses. All this week the Ontario Provincial Police have been running a school bus safety campaign and according to Constable Shona Camirand, when the lights go up, drivers need to stop.
We spoke to one transportation company this week who asked not to be on tape… but who told us they receive upwards of four infractions per day. And out of 78 licence plates taken by drivers last year, there were two court convictions. Their single message to drivers? Focus on the task of driving.
