293 new cases of COVID-19 in Ontario for Thursday, Sept 17

Public Health Ontario has confirmed 293 new cases of COVID-19 in the province today. Since Monday, the province has reported between 250 and 315 new COVID cases each day.
Meanwhile, two more cases of COVID-19 were reported in Northern Ontario. One was reported by Public Health Sudbury and Districts. This is case number 101 and it is the seventh case in the past six days reported by PHSD. The latest case is described as a contact of a travel-related case in the Greater Sudbury area, and the person is self-isolating.
Elsewhere, for the second-consecutive day, the Porcupine Health Unit is reporting a confirmed case of COVID-19 case involving a resident in the just north of Cochrane in the area of Kapuskasing. The individual is between the ages of 20 to 39 years of age.
