Sudbury health unit reports 102nd case of COVID-19

Public Health Sudbury & Districts is reporting a new COVID-19 case in its service area. It was reported over the weekend. The person, who is from Greater Sudbury, had an unknown exposure.
 

One new case of COIVD-19 reported in Timmins

A Timmins resident is the latest local person to contract COVID-19 in the Porcupine Health Unit’s catchment area. It was reported Saturday. It involves an individual who falls within the range of 40 and 59 years of age who was infected through close contact.
 

Driver shortage cancells 14-school routes for Sudbury and area

Another school bus driver shortage is slated in Greater Sudbury this week. 14 School Bus Routes are being affected. COVID-19 has greatly impacted one local school bus operator, as many of their drivers have decided not to return.
 

Art theft investigated in North Bay

North Bay police are investigating the theft of high-end art theft. It was from a residence on Silver Lady Lane, off Trout Lake, early Saturday. The stolen items include a 2’x3′ Jan Van Kessel painting, along with several others. Others included… Limoges casket, 6″ blue/gold plate and 6″ aventurine brush washer.
 

OPP respond to a fatal collision

North Bay OPP responded to the scene of a single-vehicle all-terrain vehicle crash on the weekend. It happened on a snowmobile trail in Phelps Township. The collision occurred when the ATV veered off the trail. The single rider was pronounced deceased.
