Walk out averted, drivers remain unhappy

A walk out threated by school bus drivers in West Nipissing may have been averted this week, but those at Alouette say they’re still not happy. This week, the company offered to add 15-minutes of pay for the extra cleaning required by COVID-19 protocols. The drivers say they still receive $1.70 less an hour than the company’s Northland Bus Lines drivers in Sudbury, and 15 minutes is not enough to clean a bus.
