Greater Sudbury’s first walk-in clinic for COVID-19 vaccinations — set up to help ease wait times over the phone — ran into a hang-up today. In short, a shortage of COVID-19 vaccinations by noon. Last week, the health unit announced it would be offering walk-in vaccination clinics to any person eligible for a first or second dose. Instead, visitors were directed to other clinics.
Meanwhile, the PHU says those trying to book a COVID-19 vaccine locally will have to wait until tomorrow. This morning, those attempting to do so had issues getting onto the site. The health unit expects the booking system to be back online tomorrow at 9 a.m.
