Sault Ste Marie Police warn of Fraudulent Calls

Sault Ste Marie Police are warning of fraudulent phone calls. It’s from someone claiming to represent the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, requesting money. The fraudsters are targeting post-secondary students, specifically students from outside of Canada who speak English as a second language. Police say they don’t call residents asking for money, and to simply hang up.
