Police checks not covered

Those stepping up for the Starts and Thunder Festival in Timmins will have to cover their own costs. Specifically, police checks are not being covered by the city, nor the festival. The primary reason states that a $10 fee per volunteers would cost as much as $3,500. The festival is slated for June.
