During Question Period this week MPP for Nickel Belt France Gélinas, took the government to task on why, according to Gélinas, the recent Liberal Budget ignores overcrowding in Ontario hospitals. Gélinas says that even Ontario Health Coalition has concerns that the recent budget will not solve the dangerous levels of overcrowding faced by hospitals across Ontario. The minster of Health and Long Term Care, Dr. Eric Hoskins saw it a little differently…
Gélinas responded by saying hospitals are operating 1,100 unfunded beds, and that more than 250 of those beds are in hallways and storage rooms that were never designed to provide patient care. She is asking to Government for action.
