Doctors Want to have a Say

A majority of physicians at Health Sciences North say they would like to have a choice when it comes to medically assisted dying. This is according to a vote at their recent quarterly medical staff meeting. The medical staff of HSN say they “support conscience rights for physicians who refuse effective referrals for euthanasia.” Federal Bill B-14, which legalized medical assistance in dying in Canada, became law in June 2016.
