Parents driving around with a Graco car seat will want to check the product number to see if it falls under a sweeping recall. Graco Canada issued a safety advisory in concerning certain My Ride 65 convertible car seats. There is some concern that the straps may not meet the requirements needed to keep riders safe.
DETAILS:
In Canada, 1,393 My Ride 65 car seats were manufactured from May 14, 2014 to July 30, 2014.
What should I look for?
The affected products will contain manufacturing date range of 05/14/2014 through 07/30/2014, as well as a webbing tag code of 2014/06. If your seat has a different webbing tag code, it is not affected by the recall.
Look for the following product numbers and manufacturing date ranges in conjunction with webbing tag code 2014/06:
• 1910553, 05/14/2014 through 07/18/2014
• 1910552, 7/11/2014 through 7/30/2014
• 1910395, 5/14/2014
To find the numbers, look under or on the back of the car seat, locate the white label and note the model number and date of manufacture. Next, identify the tag on the webbing of the harness on the back of the car seat and include that date at the bottom of the tag.
