Weekend check-point set up in Sault Ste. Marie area

Police in the Sault Ste. Marie area were stopping and checking vehicles at Kent’s Corners over the weekend. At least seven OPP vehicles were on scene at Humbug Point on the west side of the Highway 548 bridge leading onto St. Joseph Island. Details aside, Police say a checkpoint a was seen, stopping vehicles headed off the island in attempts to speak to a single individual.
