Bear sightings normal for this time of year – Timmins Police

In the city of Timmins, a numerous sightings of mother bears with cubs or lone bears have been reported.  While there have not, as of yet been any incidents, Police are urging people to be aware.  They say that this time of year, bears sightings are common on the cities’ perimeter, near bush-lines or forested areas, and to alert them if a bear wanders near a school or a senior’s centre.
