Many Ontarians opting out of flu shot this year

Call it an iron will, or perhaps a shift in priorities… but despite a strong annual push from public health officials to get a flu shot, most northern Ontarians say they’re opting out this year. While the national rate is about 38 per cent, but the numbers are even lower in for communities in the Sudbury and Manitoulin districts. Algoma health says that current rate is around 36 per cent, but it’s been as low as 28.
