More blasting slated to manage precipitation and snow melt

Vale says that residents can expect a little rumbling into the afternoon. This is all thanks to blasting to better capture runoff from the slag hills. The work will require surface blasting and those living in the vicinity of Big Nickel Mine Road should expect to feel some periodic rumblings. Once complete, Vale says it will improve water treatment and Vale’s ability to more effectively manage precipitation from larger storm and melt events.
