Police chase down sledder with no helmet

What started as a safety first reminder…. turned into quite a fiasco for West Nipissing police this week. It all began when a 31-year old male was spotted zipping along on a snowmobile without wearing his helmet on Railway St. in Sturgeon Falls. He then refused to stop for police and struck another vehicle causing damages… abandoned the sled and was cornered by officers before being taken into custody, in possession of allegedly stolen property.
