To Mattawa, and the ongoing flooding… residents are being asked to take note of a change of location. The municipal office is transitioning today to the Community Centre Hall. The Hurdman Street will play host for now and those needing assistance are asked to call 705-744-0222
In addition, the Canadian Red Cross team is on the ground, and they’ve set up in the Evacuation Centre at the Mike Rodden Arena. For all residents that have been evacuated or have self-evacuated… the location is open from 3pm to 5pm.
For so many displaced and for others in need… Saturday’s Blue Box Food Drive in North Bay was is being called a notable success. Food donations totalled 3,700 pounds. The food bank teamed up with two local businesses to collect food donations from the North Bay area.
