More activies eyed for this winter, next summer

North Bay city staff are looking into construction of a new activity hub in the new year. As directed by council, it would take the form of a new outdoor court able to accommodate multiple uses — including a basketball court, a full tennis court, four pickleball courts, ball hockey, skateboards, BMX bikes, stand-up scooters and rollerblades.

A few more winter walking trails will be plowed in Sault Ste Marie this winter. City council unanimously approved a one-year pilot project yesterday that will see additional walking trails plowed at Strathclair Park and Elliot Park this winter. They are in addition to the walking paths at Clergue Park and Bellevue Park.
