Ontario stepping up COVID-19 restrictions, due to rise in cases

Public Health Ontario has reported a new record of COVID-19 cases once again. 4,812. Today’s report includes 3,151 recoveries and 25 new deaths.
In response to the increase of COVID-19 cases in Ontario, there will increased measures put into the place by the Province. The state of emergency will be extended by another two-weeks.
As of Saturday, April 17th at 12:01am, Outdoor gatherings must be limited to people within a household. Those who live alone may join one other house hold.

Essential businesses will be limited to 25% capacity.
All golf courses, basketball courts, and playgrounds will be closed.
As of Monday, April 19th, all religious gatherings must not exceed 10 people indoors and outdoors.
There will be a restriction on non essential province-to-province travel. Check points will be in place to bordering Provinces.
Ontario will also be stepping up enforcement of the stay-at-home order.
 
A potential COVID-19 exposure advisory has been issued for a dump near Temiskaming Shores. Its for those who visited the Coleman Township Municipal Dump Ferguson Rd. on Tuesday, April 6 and Saturday, April 10. The Timiskaming Health Unit says any and all persons should self-monitor for symptoms.
 

Public Health Sudbury and Districts have reported 14 new cases of COVID-19. Among the total 23 have recovered, and 32 have tested positive for a variant of concern.
 
Meanwhile, the Porcupine Health Unit has also reported another record high for new cases in a single day. As of this morning the health unit reported 27 new confirmed cases among residents within its catchment area. That exceed the previous 25, set yesterday. Nineteen of the new cases are in the Timmins. Four of the 19 are linked to the outbreak at the Kidd Mine site that was reported Thursday night.
