New cases of COVID-19 reported by three health units

Public Health Sudbury and Districts are reporting 7 new cases of COVID-19 and 18 recoveries. 27 cases have also tested positive for a variant of concern. The North Bay Parry Sound district health unit is adding 7 new cases noting there are also 7 cases resolved.
Meanwhile, eight new COVID-19 cases have been reported by the Porcupine Health Unit. Six people are in Timmins and two are in the area of Cochrane, Matheson, Iroquois Falls and Smooth Rock Falls. All but one is said to be a close contact of a case.
Ontario is adding more than 4,400 new COVID-19 today, as the positivity rate stands at 10.5 per cent. Today’s report included 4,447 infections represents, an increase from both Saturday’s and Sunday’s totals.
