Sunwing airlines has stopped flights out of Jack Garland Airport in North Bay. Coming down from head office, Sunwing says the industry is still in recovery mode for international travel and there is still only a limited number of airports able to accept international flights in Canada based on Transport Canada’s continued restrictions which continues to hinder market recovery. Flights from North Bay to Cancun, Mexico, were scheduled to begin on Dec. 16 and run weekly until April 14.
