DSSAB approves a plan to take over paramedic services

DASSAB has approved, in principle anyway, a plan to take over paramedic services across the region. At a meeting this week, the board agreed to take direct control of the service instead of contracting it to the North Bay Regional Health Centre, Mattawa General Hospital and the Municipality of Temagami.  The district has the largest paramedic service in the province that is not currently delivered directly. DNSSAB is legislatively responsible for the service.
