Travel Advisory issued for most of North Eastern Ontario
You may need to pack a little extra time this morning as there is a Winter weather travel advisory in effect all across the North East, with the exception of Sault Ste Marie. Environment Canada says Precipitation may begin as light rain later this morning before changing to snow in the afternoon as Arctic air floods into the region and temperatures begin to fall.
Police looking for a missing woman
Police are looking for a missing woman. 36-year-old Angela Monique Marie Dupuis. She was last seen on Aug. 8 in Barrie but has ties to the Greater Sudbury Area. Dupuis is described as an Indigenous female, 5-foot-5 and 110 pounds, with a medium build, dyed blonde hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo of two stars and “MEL” on the left side of her neck, a heart on her left ear, a “D” on her right ear and two roses on the back of her neck. Both her right eyebrow and left cheek are pierced. Police and family members are concerned for her well-being and are asking the public’s assistance to help locating her.
North Bay Deputy Mayor running for Provincial Office
North Bay Deputy Mayor Tayna Vrebosch will run in the 2022 Provincial Election as the Liberal candidate. In the Province, both a Mayor and Councillor can run in a provincial election without resigning their seat.
A Timmins man has been charged following a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 101. It happened in Ivanhoe Township near Foleyet. While there were reported injuries, the 28-year-old person has been charged with careless driving.
13-SAH staff fired for refusing to get a COVID-19 vaccine
Thirteen Sault Area Hospital employees have been fired for refusing to get a COVID-19 vaccine. It was earlier reported that employees had until the end of the day Monday to get at least their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine or face termination under the hospital’s policy. The move means that as of Nov. 23, all active SAH employees, need to be fully vaccinated or in the process of becoming fully vaccinated, with the exception of those with an approved medical exemption.

Petition has started for Sidewalk along a busy stretch in Azilda
A Petition has started up for a sidewalk along a busy stretch of a street in Azilda. It’s along a section of Notre Dame Street. It’s in one of the oldest parts of Azilda, from just east of St. Thomas Street to Municipal Road 35 by the Tim Hortons, and residents say in the winter it’s touch and go for pedestrians.
