The Province of Ontario is shelling out over $6.8 million is going towards infrastructure needs in Nipissing. Of that, the city of North Bay will receive nearly $5.5 million. ($5,482,850)

Laurentian University’s new interim president and interim provost starting on Jan. 1 have promised transparency. Sheila Embleton will take over the interim president role, and Brenda Brouwer will be the interim provost.

After an hour-long session with representatives of the old Sault Area Hospital, Soo city council has voted to consider expropriating and demolishing the derelict property.
