It’s getting friendly to buy, the latest numbers of our Greater Sudbury say housing prices dropped 12% from last year’s peak. That’s down from April of last year when the average price of a house in Greater Sudbury was just north of $450,000.

Callander tax rates are on the way up. The township says this week the tax rate in Callander is rising this year by 7.79 percent.

The Timmins Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing person. 29-year-old, Gaurav Deep Singh.

Sault Ste Marie City council will consider approving the hiring of four additional firefighters in order to reduce overtime and ensure minimum staffing numbers are met, reducing community risk.

St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Elliot Lake has announced another outbreak. Visitor restrictions on the third floor of our Acute Care Hospital remain in place

Public Health Sudbury and Districts is issuing a drinking water advisory. In short, the Espanola Drinking Water System malfunctioned from 10:15 p.m. on Jan. 31, to 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 1. Anyone with health issues is asked to seek care.

North Bay Police say Fat bikes… are not an option for the gateway city currently. While they’re being used in Greater Sudbury, they will not be adopted in North Bay.

The Tri-Town Downhill skiers, snowboarders, tubers and snowshoe enthusiasts can now make plans for the weekend. The Tri-Town Ski and Snowboard Village opens Saturday.

Highway 11 in northern Ontario is closed from Highway 66 near Kenogami Lake to Matheson. This is following a multi-car collision. Officers from the Kirkland Lake detachment are at the scene and the “highway will be closed for an undetermined amount of time to remove vehicles”. No detour is available.
