Here’s a look at this morning’s headlines for Wednesday, March 15

Northern Ontario could see one last blast before Spring Arrives Monday. Environment Canada says snow is expected Thursday before it tapers off Saturday. 15-30 cm are possible in some locations. Snow is expected to linger into Saturday.

The Greater Sudbury Watershed Alliance is calling on the city to hold off stop building major roads near the city’s watershed indicating it only results on more road salt in the watershed.

North Bay’s 2023 operating budget has been approved. It includes a tax levy increase of 4.61% which translates into roughly $47 on every $100,000 of assessment.

Snow removal continues in Timmins. This morning crews are on birch from Fifth to dead end, Maple from Fifth to Ninth, Elm from Fifth to Ninth. In South Porcupine crews are on Hellen, Helmer and Fern.

North Bay City Council approved a 2023 operating budget on Tuesday night totalling $153.1 million. The budget includes a tax levy of approximately $105.8 million, an increase of 4.61 per cent over last year.
