Attempts to reach a collective agreement for almost 500 city workers in Greater Sudbury are at an impasse. That includes employees who work in parks, arenas, wastewater, garbage, road and fleet maintenance, including snowplowing and sidewalk clearing.

Sudbury's Cambrian College says it will expand its paramedic program.  the program will grow by 40 students, with 20 additional students enrolling in September and another 20 in January 2024.

An overpass on Highway 11 in Powassan is has been dedicated to the memory of OPP officer Const. Patrick Clayton Armstrong. It was in the fall of 1963 when Armstrong passed away.
