Swimmers in Timmins area are being reminded by the Porcupine Health Unit (PHU) to avoid swimming in area lakes when warning signage is present due to higher bacteria levels.

Public Health Sudbury & Districts said Monday it has lifted a drinking water advisory that came into effect July 21 for residents of Capreol. The health unit issued the drinking water advisory because of a loss of pressure in the municipal water system.

The North Bay Police Service says those with traffic concerns have an email address to use as part of a traffic initiative. nbpstraffic@northbaypolice.on.ca can be used until the end of September.
